THE INDUSTRY

The Industrial Construction Industry is responsible for the building and maintaining of Power Plants, Steel Mills, Paper Mills, Oil Platforms, Refineries, Ships, Bridges, Pipelines and many other large scale construction projects.

To give you a better idea, some of the construction projects and their functions are listed below.

Power Plant: Facility for the generation of electric power. Power Plants have energy sources ranging from Nuclear, Natural Gas, Water, Geothermal, and other renewable energy sources.

Steel Mills: Industrial plants for the manufacture of steel and other alloys.

Paper Mills: Factories devoted to the making of paper from wood pulp and other ingredients, including post-consumer paper products, using a Fourdrinier machine or similar apparatus.  The Fourdrinier accomplishes all the steps needed to transform a source of wood pulp into a final paper product.

Oil Platforms: Large structure used to house workers and machines needed to drill and produce oil and natural gas in the ocean.

Oil Refineries: Industrial process plant where crude oil is processed and refined into petroleum products such as gas, diesel fuel, asphalt base etc.

There are many employment opportunities in the Industrial Construction Industry because these types of facilities are always being built or rebuilt.
